Battle Cat
Cats are a bird’s natural enemy, but because the Animal Kingdom isn’t all petty and indignant like humanity, we love celebrating all forms of life.
Then again, we’re a good two-thirds human here at The Denver Warbler, so fuck cats.
One member of the mighty AK that’s always worth tipping a cap to is Battle Cat, He-Man’s talking feline sidekick … that is until you actually go back and try and watch an episode of He-Man. What an orgy of odd! What a collection of craze! What a gaggle or garfunkery! What a tower of tomfoolery!
See what we mean? Soooo weird. Good moral lesson at the end, but could
Zodac have been a breathier perv in his delivery?
Here’s a song called “Battle Cat” by this dude called Adventure.
His real name is Benny Boeldt and, like us, he grew up playing a lot of Sega Genesis. Of course, this means he probably spent a lot of time defending the Genesis against the tirades of SNES-owning neighbors—all the while half-knowing they were right. I mean, really, the Super Nintendo was a better gaming system, but they got to the top by stealing all of Sega’s ideas.
Who had 16-Bit first? Who?
Shinobi 3 … hell yes, but Super Street Fighter II? Playing that on the Genesis was like dry humping all night with the school floosie. And Sonic the Hedgehog at number one? Way to tow the party line, JMCDS45
